kate middleton's dress and van morrison

...and everything in between. It has been 20 days since my last post. I know I said I was the worst blogger a few weeks ago...well now I really am...I am sure I have lost some followings in the past 20 days but I know I can make a comeback so here goes...

Since my last post, life in Oxford had been crazy. Clearly, crazy enough for me to be unable to blog for my ever so loyal followers.  I went on several pub crawls, wrote history papers and ventured to London to see Kate Middleton's dress. Needless to say, I have been living the life for the past three weeks.

Disclaimer: neither my brother nor my dad are in Europe with me
...although i WISH they were
The Friday after we returned from Dublin, we had an all day excursion to the Globe Theatre in London.  The production of Much Ado About Nothing was not due to start until around 2 pm that day. So, instead of sleep until 8:30, a small group of us decided to head to London early to tour the Buckingham Palace state rooms and the exclusive showing of Kate Middleton's beautiful wedding dress.  This was a once in a lifetime opportunity for many people mostly because the dress was only being shown until October 3.  We saw the dress on a scheduled tour at 9:30 am.  The dress was being kept in a net casing in a huge ballroom so the humongous room made Kate Middleton's 0 waist size look like it was made for my barbie doll. However, it was still beautiful and they played little recaps of the wedding throughout the ballroom.
Liz Mason...this is for you!

Lizzie and I at the concert

Ok...so let's fast forward a few weeks to Colston Hall in Bristol, England. It was a 2 hour train trip each way to see the best concert ever. I went to a Van Morrison concert, it was absolutely amazing. He sung for 90 minutes straight and he started off with Moondance and ended with Gloria. It was the greatest concert I have ever been to and Lizzie, Caitlin and I had a great time. I was expecting him to just walk off the stage 20 minutes into the concert but fortunately he did not. I can't really say enough about the concert but i can confirm that it was a great night and instead of catching the 4 am train back to Oxford we caught the 10:30 pm out of Bristol and back home!

Van the Man!
